# Data visualizations in Platform Analytics {#ariaid-title1}

Data Visualizations use graphics to show table, indicator, and other data. They combine and extend the functions of reports and Performance Analytics widgets from the Core UI, which they replace in Platform Analytics.  
Important:  
You cannot place reports or Performance Analytics widgets on a Platform Analytics dashboard. You must create data visualizations instead.

To access data visualizations, navigate to AllPlatform AnalyticsLibraryData Visualizations. Owners of a data visualization can access and share that visualization. Users whom the owner has shared a visualization with can access that visualization. Any user with access to data can create a data
visualization based on that data.
