View the status of a legacy clone.

## Before you begin

Role required: clone_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllInstance CloneLive ClonesActive Clones.  
   The system displays the list of currently active clones.
2. Select a clone.
3. Under Related Links, select Check Clone Status.  
   The system updates the State field and produces a log entry in the Clone Log that shows the status of the clone.

   If an error occurs, you might [roll back clone](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/Qs_A_fnSJhqVMMGMQXwknw#roll-back-a-clone "Roll back a clone to remove the latest cloning updates on a cloning target if a mistake was made or an error has occurred.") and [schedule recurring clones](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/zThgq5Gadbs6N3ZN0S6CCg "Schedule recurring clones to keep your cloned instances up to date.").
