# Edit HTML content

# Edit HTML content in an email notification {#ariaid-title1}

For added control over the content of an email notification, you can edit the
underlying HTML.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllSystem NotificationEmailNotifications.
2. Open an email notification record.
3. On the form, open the What it will contain tab.
4. In the Message HTML field, select the source code icon (![Source code icon]()) to open the HTML source code editor.  
5. Make the needed changes to the HTML.
6. On the window, select Ok.
7. On the form, select Update.
