# Add or edit a zone

Zones are a logical collection of spaces that can be shared across campuses, floors,
or buildings. Examples of zones are: Chiller 4 Zone, Guest Wi-Fi Zone, AC 1 Zone, Power
Circuit 3 Zone, and so on.

## Before you begin

Role required: admin

## About this task

There are no restrictions on zones. They can cross campuses and buildings. In addition, spaces can belong to one or more zones.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllFacilitiesSpace ManagementZone.
2. Continue with one of the following options.

   | Option | Action |
   | To add a zone | Click New. |
   | To edit the details of a zone | Click the name of the zone you want to edit. |

3. Fill in the fields on the form, as appropriate.

   | Name | Provide a descriptive name for this zone. |
   | Short description | Provide a more descriptive name for this zone. |

4. Continue with one of the following options.

   | To add the zone | Click Submit. |
   | To update the zone details | Click Update. |
