# Edit an architectural document details

Edit an architectural document to update or modify details.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_apm.apm_user

## Procedure

1. Navigate to WorkspaceEnterprise Architecture Workspace.
2. Open the Portfolio List view by selecting the Portfolio icon ![Portfolio icon]().
3. Select the expand row icon (![Expand Row icon]()) next to Information Portfolio.
4. Select Architectural Documents.
5. Select a check box against an existing architectural document.
6. Select Edit.  
   The artifact details opened in the right panel. Modify details such as name, type, description, category, and owner of the artifact.
7. Select Update.
