Exploring drivers
A driver is an external or internal condition that motivates your organization to define goals and implement changes in Enterprise Architecture Workspace.
A driver can originate from a competitor, customer, government agency, or from within your organization. Drivers explain why your organization sets particular goals or makes particular changes.
A driver has a source of either External or Internal. The available driver types depend on the source you select. External drivers can be typed as Competitor, Customer, Environment, Partner, Government, Legal, Economic, Social, or Technological. Internal drivers can be typed as Assumption, Corporate, Infrastructure, Resource, or Other.

When you model a driver in a diagram, the default relationship between a driver and a stakeholder, and between a driver and a goal, is Influences:Influenced by.
