Employee growth plans are created by administrators and used by managers and employees to help facilitate and track growth plans.

| Field | Description |
|-|-|
| Actual start | The date that an employee starts working on a growth plan. |
| Additional comments (Customer visible) | Comments that can be added to help the employee and manager understand the purpose of a growth plan. Comments can be instructions or conceptual information. |
| Assigned to | The name of the employee that the growth plan is assigned to. |
| Description | A description of the growth plan. The description helps employees and managers understand what the growth plan is focused on. |
| Due date | A date for when the growth plan is expected to be complete. Due dates aren't required for growth plans. |
| Name | The name of the growth plan helps managers and employees determine what the growth plan is intended for. |
| Outcome type | An outcome type represents the intent of the growth. Growth plans can include job related or personal goals. * Custom types are used for personal growth plans or a growth plan that doesn't fit into Job growth or Skill development types. * Job growth types are used for growth plans the fit into the regular career goals and development of an employee. * Skill development types are used to track focused efforts on developing a skill. |
| Role level | A role level is associated with skills that have different levels of accomplishment such as beginner or expert. |
| Shared with | The manager who the growth plan is shared with. |
| State | The current standing of the growth plan. * Canceled state means that the growth plan is no longer active. * Closed complete state indicates that all the requirements of the growth plan are finished. * Closed incomplete state indicates that the growth plan wasn't completed, but it has been closed. State indicates that the growth plan is no longer active. * Published state indicates that the employee has started the growth plan and has shared it with their manager. * Draft state means that the employee is still editing, adding activities to the growth plan but hasn't started it. |
