Configure the time limited authentication for your external applicants to log in to the Applicant Center.

Time limited authentication (TLA) gives the applicant a more accessible and easy option to log in to the Applicant Center portal, as opposed to remembering different passwords.{#configure-tla-ta__p_g1k_nfg_h1c}

Create post-authentication policies for your external applicant role, so that they can log in to the Applicant Center, using a magic link.{#configure-tla-ta__p_h1k_nfg_h1c}

Depending on the post-authentication policy you've enabled, add a condition for the external applicant role and the Applicant Center identity provider. For more information on the roles in Hiring Experiences, see [Roles in Hiring Experiences](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/O6XAz5Li27fsqQIesa0rqQ "An overview of the different roles and user criteria in Hiring Experiences."). The identity provider is unique for each portal.{#configure-tla-ta__p_i1k_nfg_h1c}

For more information on setting up the post-authentication policy, see [Configure an authentication policy](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=configure-allow-access-policy&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-security&ft:locale=en-US).{#configure-tla-ta__p_j1k_nfg_h1c}
