Make it easy for employees to navigate the portal and discover content using the browse experience features in Employee Center.
Follow these steps to setup browse experience features:

1. Define the content hierarchy via the taxonomy: [Unified Taxonomy for Employee Center](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/76c~qgFiFHMMtXTBwirkLQ "Unified Taxonomy is a collection of hierarchical topics that brings together different content types, such as requests, articles, quick links, learning content, and employee communications.").
2. Configure how the taxonomy appears on the portal pages: [Dynamic topic pages](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/zcuBCfGTb7tkZtJfTbe0ng "Dynamic topic pages are topic pages that are dynamically configured using content tagged to a unified taxonomy across all departments.")
3. Configure navigation menus:
   * [Mega menu configuration](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/c9ZvbYWIhau8U_rFlgSRPw "The mega menu helps you navigate to a topic and its child topics. The taxonomy you associate with the employee center portal record determines the mega menu and its menu items. By default, the topics and child topics you create in the taxonomy are displayed as mega menu items.")
   * [Advanced Portal Navigation](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/loHI8K0fGL9HvP_dUaLZxw "Advanced Portal Navigation (APN) helps you design and configure an intuitive navigation for better information architecture and topic discovery. You can manage the topics and service portal menu items based on employee needs. Use the enhanced navigation experience that helps you with better content discovery.")

To learn about the navigation menus, see [View advanced portal navigation](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/L2GvKBMJ_2fYY0dk6ThAcw "Use the enhanced navigation experience that helps you with better content discovery.")
4. Configure the out-of-the-box widgets (optional): [Configure browse experience widgets](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/CMKGYW08_7rFS5fmHeAPxg "Modify the default widget settings according to your organization's needs on Employee Center.")

To view all the widgets installed with Employee Center, see [Employee Center widgets](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/K_u6dNu4vj7i0e7L0CXVxw "You can use base system widgets as-is in the portal or clone them to suit your own business needs.").
5. Review the browse experience features table below and configure the features relevant to your use case.
