Schedule a growth plan check-in conversation

  • Use the Career Conversations app to schedule a check-in conversation with your employee or manager about a growth plan explicitly related to the employee's career advancement within your organization.

    Antes de Iniciar

    You must install the Career Conversations application to access it from the Employee Center.

    You must provide your employees with a license to enable access to the Career Conversations app. For more information about employee licensing, refer to License Talent Development Core users.

    You must configure integration between the Career Conversations application and Microsoft® Outlook®. This integration enables you to view your employee or manager's calendar as it appears in Microsoft Outlook so you can schedule a meeting for your conversation during the conversation creation process. For more information about the integration process with Microsoft Outlook, refer to Integrating with Microsoft Outlook.

    You must update system properties to enable integration between the Career Conversations application and Microsoft Outlook. For more information about updating the required system properties, refer to Set system properties for Microsoft Outlook integration.

    An employee must create and share a growth plan with their manager.

    Role required: employee [sn_egd_act.employee] or manager [sn_egd_act.manager]

    Procedimento

    1. Navigate to All > Self-Service > Employee Center.
    2. Use the navigation path that corresponds to your role within your organization to access the Growth plans module.

    3. Use the widget that corresponds to your role within your organization to select the growth plan for which you want to create a conversation.

    4. In the topic header widget, select the More growth plan actions (vertical ellipsis) icon.
      Dica:
      The topic header widget is the widget that reflects the name of the growth plan.
    5. Select Edit plan.
    6. In the Plan activities widget, select the Add an activity drop-down list.
    7. Select Check-in.
      The Add check-in activity panel appears.
    8. Select Add.
      A new activity for a check-in conversation appears in the Plan activities widget.
    9. Select the activity for the check-in conversation you created.
      The Activity details panel appears.
    10. Select Schedule conversation.
      The Schedule a conversation panel appears.
    11. In the panel, set the following fields.

      Field Description
      Conversation title Name of the conversation. This field is automatically set to Check in and review your progress with your manager.

      You can change the value.

      Date Date of the conversation. The format is <YYYY-MM-DD>. You can use the Show Calendar for Date icon to select a date.
      Start The time at which the meeting starts. You can use the calendar that appears in this panel to determine availability for the date you specified in the Date field.
      End The time at which the meeting ends. You can use the calendar that appears in this panel to determine availability for the date you specified in the Date field.
    12. Select Send invite.

    Resultado

    A meeting for a conversation is scheduled on both yours and the recipient's calendar in Microsoft Outlook.
