Accommodation requests are from your employees requesting changes related to their work
situation.
Examples of accommodations are:

* Provide new equipment
* Job restructuring
* Leave
* Reader or interpreter services
* Reassignment
* Scheduling changes
* Workplace modification
* Workplace policies
{#hr-er-accommodations__ul_ism_h3t_x4b}You can associate an accommodation request with an HR case and start and end dates when the accommodation is temporary.

Agents can create more than one accommodation request per ER case. This is useful when an
employee open an accommodation request for a single situation, but HR might have more than one
classification for an accommodation. Some accommodation requests might require approval or have
different start and end dates.

You can use HR service fulfillment types to define any workflow required to review, approve,
and deliver accommodations like any HR case. For more information, see [Configure an HR service](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/wJlSpcmNBO7UKiYsv9M4OQ "Create or modify an HR service to define the request to fulfillment process for that case type. Examples of HR services include benefits enrollment, direct deposit setup, and background check requests by third-party providers.").
