Access the planning console to perform the planning for the project.

## Before you begin

Role required: it_project_manager

## Procedure

Open the planning console using any of the following methods.

| Option | Steps |
| From project workspace | 1. Open a project record in [project workspace](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/nYYR_k6EG_zAjtUNrtJqwA "Open the project workspace to display all your projects at a single location."). 2. Select the Planning tab. {#t_OpenPlanningConsole__ol_mzk_mhn_sdb} |
| From a project record | 1. Navigate to a project record in Details tab in project workspace. 2. Select the Planning Console related link. {#t_OpenPlanningConsole__ol_kxt_wgn_sdb} |
| From Project Workbench | 1. Select the Project Workbench selection arrow on the workbench banner. 2. Select Planning Console from the list. {#t_OpenPlanningConsole__ol_etj_yhn_sdb} |
