Associate a group to a business organization

  • Associate a group with the desired business organization (formerly business location) by establishing a one-to-many (1:M) relationship. This association helps you assign cases directly to the appropriate assignment groups.

    Before you begin

    Note:
    A group can only be associated with a single business organization, but a business organization can have multiple groups.

    Role required: admin

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Customer Service > Business Organizations > Internal/ External Organizations.
    2. Select the internal or external organization (formerly internal or external business location) from the list that you want to associate an assignment group to.

    3. In the Assignment Groups related list, select New.

    4. On the Organization Assignment Group form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Organization (formerly Service organization) Auto-populated with the name of the business organization to which you’re adding an assignment group.
      Assignment group Name of the assignment group that is to be added.
    5. Select Submit.
