Clone a template item

Clone an existing template item to add to a task plan template.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_task_plan.admin or sn_task_plan.creator role

About this task

Template items include case tasks, child cases, and child case tasks. When you clone a template item, the system clones the selected template item and creates a new template item that includes the hierarchy, conditions, and attachments of the source template item.

Note:

This action is only available for task plan templates in the Draft state.

The cloned template item is added to the Template Items tab on the Task Plan Template form.

Procedure

1. Navigate to All > Task Plan Templates > Draft Task Plan Templates.
2. Select a task plan template record number to display the record.
3. Select the Template items tab.
4. Select a template item and then select Clone on the Template Item form.
   The system creates a copy of the selected template item, gives it a unique record number, and displays the template item form.
