Create a slide for the Portal Banner Carousel widget

    • Create a slide to include images in the Portal Banner Carousel widget that a user can scroll through.

    Before you begin

    The UI Components for Customer Portals plugin must have been activated. For more information, see Activate the UI Components for Customer Portals plugin.

    Role required: sp_admin

    Procedure

    1. Select All.
    2. In the filter navigator, enter sp_carousel_slide.list.
    3. On the Carousel Slides page, select New.
    4. On the Carousel slides form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Name Name of the carousel slide.
      HREF/URL The URL that opens an internal web page or a portal page in the same tab and an external page or a portal in a new tab.
      Note:
      For more information about linking to a page within a portal, see Page navigation in Service Portal by URL.
      Application The application that contains this configuration record. This field is automatically set to Global.
      Background Image to appear as the background of the slides in the carousel.

      The recommended dimension is 1022x300 pixels
    5. Select Submit.

    Result

    The slide is created and appears on the Carousel Slides (sp_carousel_slide) page.
