Enable the AI Search experience in Engagement Messenger so unauthenticated users can see the most relevant set of search results.

## Before you begin

You must configure AI Search for the Engagement Messenger before enabling AI Search for an unauthenticated user. For more information, see [Search feature configuration](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/Wuz~UIj7Ah5~~c4lbhAqbg "Understand the configuration of the Search feature in Engagement Messenger to configure the field values.").

Role required: admin

## About this task

As an admin, you must enable the EC AI Homepage Search, Typeahead Search, and AI Search Assist widgets in Engagement Messenger to enable the AI Search capability for unauthenticated users.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to Service PortalWidgets.
2. Search for and open the EC AI Homepage Search widget.
3. Select the Public check box.
4. Select Update.
