    Before you begin

    Role required: admin, sn_customerservice.service_organization_contributor, sn_customerservice.svc_location_manager_contributor, sn_bus_loc.location_relationship_manager, or sn_customerservice.svc_location_manager
    Note:
To access the complete work order functionality, a sn_fsm_servicedesk_agent role is added to the sn_customerservice.service_organization_contributor role.

    About this task

Work orders are requests for off-site work. Users with the appropriate roles create the work orders and provide the necessary information needed for the work order tasks. These orders include information about the requested services, including customer names and addresses, the work locations, and any related configuration items. Each work order includes one or more tasks that contain specific details about the work to be performed, such as required agent skills or part requirements.

For more information about work orders, see Manage work orders.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Home > Your Information > Business Locations.
    2. On the Business Location Details page, select the business location that you want to track the work order for.
    3. From the list of work orders at your business location, select a work order number to view its details, including location, activity, and tasks.
      Note:
External location contributors can't access the Work Order Tasks tab.
