View Microsoft Outlook customer contact details in your instance

  • Once you have integrated Customer Service Management (CSM) with Microsoft Outlook, you can view customer details in an Outlook add-in panel to make communication easier.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_customerservice.contact_manager, sn_customerservice.proxy_contact

    Procedure

    1. In Microsoft Outlook, open an email message you received from the contact.
    2. On the Microsoft Outlook Home tab, click View in ServiceNow.
      The Outlook add-in panel displays the contact details.
      Note:
      If the contact details are not available, the No contact was found message is displayed.
    3. Optional: If you want to perform other contact tasks, access the contact information in the CSM portal page by clicking the Pop-out icon (Pop-out icon).
