# Modify the sub-topics widget display

# Modify the sub-topics widget display {#ariaid-title1}

The sub-topics widget displays all the child topics associated with the parent topic
in your taxonomy. Click the child topic to open the page for the child topic. You can
configure the instance options to show or hide the topic icons for the child topics in the
widget.

## Vorbereitungen

Role required: sp_admin or admin

## Prozedur

1. Navigate to AllSelf-ServiceEmployee Center.  
   The Employee Center home page is displayed.
2. Click a topic on the primary navigation bar.  
   The topic page is displayed.
3. Press and hold the control key on the keyboard, right-click the child topics widget, and then select Instance Options.  
4. Do one of the following.
   * Select the Show Topic Icon check box to show the topic icon.
   * Deselect the Show Topic Icon check box to hide the topic icon.

   This check box is selected by default.
5. Click Save.
