# Modify the Content Experiences widget

# Modify the Content Experiences widget {#ariaid-title1}

You can edit the banner of your Content Experiences widget to create a modern and unique layout for your content in the Content Experiences widget.

## Vorbereitungen

Role required: sp_admin or admin

## Prozedur

1. Navigate to AllSelf-ServiceEmployee Center.  
   The Employee Center home page is displayed.
2. Press and hold the control key, right-click the Content Experience widget, and then select Instance Options.  
   Hinweis:  
   On the topic page, selecting any heading---including quick link headings---allows you to access Instance options. Within the instance window, you can modify the current heading levels. Once changes are made, select Save to apply the changes; the updated heading level will be reflected on the topic page, enhancing overall visibility.
3. Configure the widget:

   | Widget option | Description |

   | Display heading text | Displays the Content Experience widget heading To configure the heading, navigate to Service PortalPages\<Page Name\>Instance: Content Experience Header |
   | Display bounding box | Surrounds the widget with a shadow to give it a three-dimensional appearance |
   | Display widget background color | If the content published to the widget is missing an image, the widget displays the set background color instead of the portal page background color. |
   | Widget style | How you want the content to appear in the widget when viewed on desktop. The choices are: * Right-hand list menu: Displays a menu of content headings on the right side of the widget. * Dotted carousel: Displays navigable dots representing each page of articles. * Tiles: Displays content in one large left-side tile and two smaller vertically-stacked tiles on the right side. {#ecpro-edit-cew__ul_w52_dzj_crb} |
   | Allow background image to be partially covered by right-hand list menu | Stretches the image across the width of the widget. This option only applies to the widget style right-hand list menu setting. |
   | Alt Text | Content manager can add an Alt Text field, which provides a short description of the featured images. This capability is only available within the Content Experiences Widget for styles, banner or news and event content. Hinweis: This feature lets users hear image descriptions on the portal using a screen reader. |
   | Widget height | Sets the widget height |
   | Show 3 small tiles | When the tiles widget style is selected and widget height is 600 pixels or more, this options displays content in three small vertically-stacked tiles on the right side |
   | Load configuration | Sets how the order in which the page and widgets data loads. Choose from: * Asynchronous: First the page loads, then the widgets data loads. Users see content appear in the widgets as soon as each individual widget loads. * Synchronous: Page and widget data loads at the same time. 4. Click Save.
