- Generating a summary of a regulatory alert
- Transform your detailed regulatory information into concise, business-focused summaries that emphasize the most critical changes and impending deadlines. You can significantly cut down the time that is required to interpret
complex updates, ensuring that no vital details are overlooked. By streamlining compliance processes, your organization becomes more efficient and minimizes the risks.
- Regulatory mapping with AI
- Leverage artificial intelligence to help your organizations identify, track, and manage regulatory requirements that are specific to their industry. AI automates the mapping of incoming regulatory changes to internal
business operations, such as citations and control objectives, making it easier to ensure compliance. By analyzing the incoming regulatory changes and vast amounts of internal regulatory data, AI highlights the relevant
policies for association and mapping, which helps your organization to streamline the compliance process and reduce manual effort.
- Recommendation contexts and templates
- Enable your administrators to use a framework engine to create decision templates for primary records. This framework simplifies the enterprise decision-making processes and includes the configurable user interface elements
that provide contextual insights and improve the display of these elements. By integrating this framework, your organization can help to ensure that every recommendation is both relevant and informed.
- Impact radius extension
- Identify the impacted areas of your business operations, such as the citations, control objectives, policies, risks, controls, and authority documents, that you can add to a regulatory alert. You can then conduct a review
for implementation acceptance that triggers a change management program by assigning ownership and accountability through a Change Task. Additionally, an existing dashboard was improved so that you can get a clear overview of
the impacted business operations.
- Regulatory assessment for a regulatory alert
- View the new Regulatory assessments related list for a regulatory alert. This list displays the uniquely generated regulatory assessments that are powered by the Smart Assessment Engine application so that you can analyze and track the completion status for compliance users. Your users with the sn_grc.business_user role can work on these assessments.

- Now Assist for Integrated Risk Management (IRM)
- You can review the Now Assist for Integrated Risk Management (IRM) release notes for full descriptions of the Now Assist in Regulatory Change Management (RCM) features.
- Add multiple regulatory tasks
- Add multiple regulatory tasks to an alert. Each task can represent a distinct area of impact or required action. By organizing work into separate change tasks, your teams can assign responsibilities, track progress, and
manage dependencies more effectively.
- Add multiple source document import tasks
- Associate multiple source document import tasks with one regulatory alert to simplify the management and tracking of your regulatory content ingestion. Each import task adds the relevant documents to the regulatory library
to help ensure that all source materials that are related to the alert are accurately captured and organized. You can help to improve traceability throughout the regulatory change management process.
- Close a regulatory task
- Close a regulatory task automatically when it's approved. You can also manually close a regulatory task while it's in the Implementation state, if all the associated action tasks are completed and closed. By closing a task
manually, you get flexibility in managing the regulatory changes that don’t require formal approval workflows.
- Reopen action tasks
- Reopen the action tasks for a regulatory task when it's rejected and transitions back to the Implementation state. You can review and rework the tasks to address the feedback or incorporate the updated requirements. You can
also modify and resubmit the reopened action tasks so that the implementation aligns with regulatory expectations before you resubmit the change task.
- Close a regulatory alert
- Close a regulatory alert manually after all the associated regulatory tasks are complete. By closing the alert, you help to ensure accurate record-keeping by signaling that a compliance life-cycle for the specific regulatory
alert is complete.
- Work on action tasks
- Initiate and complete the action tasks independently without requiring prior approval from users who are assigned with the
sn_grc_reg_change.manager role. You can execute assigned responsibilities in a
timely manner and reduce unnecessary approval bottlenecks. The access to action tasks remains governed by user permissions and role-based access controls to ensure proper accountability and oversight.
