## New features

Between your current release family and Brazil, new features were introduced for Platform Analytics experience.
{#dfrn3-platformanalyticsexperience-summary__entry__12}

| Release | Release notes |
|-|-|
| Yokohama | [Generate data visualizations conversationally](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=analytics-assist-landing-page&family=yokohama&ft:locale=en-US) : Generate Platform Analytics artifacts from conversational interactions using Analytics Generation. Analytics Generation is part of the ServiceNow Otto for Creator application. [Implement filters in groups](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=create-filter-group&family=yokohama&ft:locale=en-US) : Create filter groups with shared apply, clear, and reset buttons. Filters in a group appear in their own container. Grouping filters reduces the number of calls and improves performance compared to cascading filters for big data use cases. [Apply multiple levels of breakdown to an indicator](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=multi-level-breakdowns&family=yokohama&ft:locale=en-US) : Migrate indicators from traditional Performance Analytics architecture to change data capture (CDC)-based data snapshots. This new architecture allows for more than two levels of breakdown to apply to an indicator. RaptorDB Professional is required, and not all indicators qualify for migration. [Show the distribution of data in box plot data visualizations](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=create-dv-box-plot&family=yokohama&ft:locale=en-US) : Show the median and lower and upper quartiles of numeric data along with outliers by using box plots. You can also compare the distribution of different groups of this data. [Target suggestion cards](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=proactive-analytics&family=yokohama&ft:locale=en-US) : Be notified of missing target values and review dates for indicators. If you have target Insights active for your dashboard, Target suggestion cards alert you to the missing values and provide an easy way to fix them. |
| Zurich | [View, share, and export table records in the List component](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=create-dv-analytics-list&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US) : Take advantage of the improved list capabilities of the List element, which replaces List - Simple. The List supports pagination, export from dashboards, export to comma-separated values, and alternative group by. It also provides a consistent configuration experience with other data visualizations. [Create indicators and migrate to data snapshots in the indicator library](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=your-kpis&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US) : * Manage indicators from the indicator library, including links to create and edit indicators. * Activate data snapshots conveniently, opening up the possibilities of applying multiple levels of breakdown to your indicators. See statistics on recent views and updates in tiles. * If data snapshots are activated for the instance, see how many indicators are eligible and have already had data snapshots enabled. * Show columns for any field on indicator records, as well as usage information. [Drill down to application overviews for Usage Insights](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=visualization-drilldown-in-config-ws&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US) : Navigate to individual application overviews for Usage Insights from data visualizations. The Go to data view chart interaction is now supported for Usage Insights data and takes the viewer to these overview pages by default. [Filter data in Usage Insights](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=filter-user-list&family=zurich&ft:locale=en-US) : Filter Usage Insights data on default and custom Usage Insights properties. |
| Australia | [Use new UI Builder templates for Dashboards and Data visualization libraries](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=reuse-page-definitions&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : Create Dashboard and Data Visualization library pages within your workspaces in UI Builder by using new page templates. [View usage information in the data visualization library](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=dashboards-for-admin-users&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : As an analytics manager, view usage statistics in the data visualization library. Those statistics include the number of reports, data visualizations that aren't used in any dashboards, and the number of data visualizations not viewed for more than six months. [Get recommendations to review problematic analytics resources](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=pa-library-recommendations&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : As an analytics manager, view recommendations for which artifacts you should fix or delete in the Dashboard, Data Visualization, and Indicator libraries. [Executive dashboards](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=executive-dashboard-overview&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : Use the new Executive Dashboards, which have been rebuilt using the Platform Analytics in-line dashboard capabilities. [View data snapshot indicators in data visualizations](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=config-dv-sing-sc-ind-data&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : Add indicators that are built from data snapshots sources to data visualizations. |
| Brazil | [Explore mode for read-only users](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=editing-dv-in-line-db&family=brazil&ft:locale=en-US) : Read-only users can temporarily reconfigure a visualization in-session --- on inline dashboards or in the Visualization Designer --- without saving changes. When Explore mode is active, an informational alert indicates that changes aren't persisted, and the Save action is not available. This enables dashboard consumers to explore data on their own terms without requiring edit access. [Share dashboard with all internal users](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=share-db-in-ac&family=brazil&ft:locale=en-US) : Administrators can share a Platform Analytics dashboard with all authenticated users by assigning it to the `dashboard_user` role, which ships with the base system. Any user who holds at least one role automatically receives read access to dashboards shared this way. The role name used as the sentinel is configurable via the system property `com.glide.par_dashboards.security.all_users_role`. This replaces the need to manage individual user, group, or role assignments for organization-wide dashboards. |

[Automatically set the aggregation period of data snapshots indicator trend lines](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=config-dv-time-series-ind-data&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : Set the Aggregation period field in the Trend by settings to Auto so , the system automatically selects the aggregation period of data snapshot indicator trend lines based on the date range and business calendar. [Automatic aggregation of date-filtered data based on date range](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=create-date-filter-workspace&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : Filter dashboards by business calendar and have the system infer the appropriate aggregation level at runtime. If you put a time series data visualization on a dashboard with a date filter, the aggregation of shown data adjusts automatically depending on the selected date range. This adjustment applies to both table and data snapshots indicator data. [Create custom data visualization filters with an improved condition builder](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=filter-dv-condition-builder&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : When creating a data visualization for table data, you can create a custom filter when you specify the data source. The condition builder for the custom filter now has menus of fields, operators, values, and related tables. [Hide the Refresh action on data visualizations](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=create-dv-sing-sc-ac&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : In the Headers and Borders section of data visualizations, use the Show refresh option check box to hide the Refresh icon in the Configuration settings of data visualizations. [Migration Center enhancements](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=data-migration&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : * As an analytics manager, migrate any Core UI dashboard to Platform Analytics in the Dashboard library. * Edit migrated content before activating it in the Platform Analytics experience. * Activate content selectively. * Total views of Core UI reports and other widgets are now migrated along with the Core UI content. [Dashboard element enhancements](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=edit-db-elements-in-ac&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : Moving and resizing dashboard elements no longer opens the configuration panel. [Enhanced scheduled exports](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=schedule-export-dboards-data-viz&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : When scheduling the email of dashboards or data visualizations, limit recipients based on reference qualifiers. [Public reports are unpublished](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=report-permission-issues&family=australia&ft:locale=en-US) : On upgrade, all public Core UI reports are unpublished to enhance security control. Report administrators can find the unpublished reports on the Reports Public \[sys_report_public\] table. They can then make the reports available through the Sharing UI in the Report Designer. |
| Brazil | [URL filter parameters for inline dashboards](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=url-filter-parameters&family=brazil&ft:locale=en-US) : External pages and UI Builder pages can now pass filter values to Platform Analytics inline dashboards and the Visualization Designer using URL parameters. The feature introduces a standard mechanism that accepts filter payloads in `encodedQuery` format, validates and maps them to filter state, and applies them when the dashboard or visualization loads. Supported filter types include choice and Boolean. Deep links and drill-down workflows that previously relied on Classic or Core UI URL-based filtering are now supported in Platform Analytics experiences. Copying a dashboard link now includes active filter state in the URL using the format `/unified-filters-param/filterId:value1,value2`, removing the back-end dependency on the `par_dashboard` filter record. [Updated creation flow for dashboards and data visualizations](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=common-dashboard-tasks&family=brazil&ft:locale=en-US) : The creation flow for Platform Analytics dashboards and data visualizations now clearly surfaces Next Experience as the recommended path. Core UI creation remains available for users who need it. The updated flow applies when the system properties `com.snc.par.coreui.dashboard_create.enabled` and `com.snc.par.coreui.report_create.enabled` are set to `true`. Instances where migration is complete and Core UI creation is inactive aren't affected. A new informational modal for data visualization creation has been added. The create flow now routes Core UI dashboard creation to the `pa_dashboard` record form and Core UI report creation to the Report Designer. [Configurable list view for drilldowns](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=dv-chart-interactions&family=brazil&ft:locale=en-US) : Dashboard and report designers can now select which list view opens when users drill down to data using the Go to Data View chart interaction. The configuration option is available in the Chart Interaction section of the Visualization and Dashboard Designers. Designers can specify a view from the `sys_ui_view_list` table, providing flexibility to target different views for different roles or use cases. Tooltip text in the visualization now dynamically reflects the configured destination --- showing the data source name for Go to Data View interactions and the page name for Go to URL interactions. The Go to URL interaction now redirects in the same browser tab. [Export quality improvements](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=export-pae-db-restrict&family=brazil&ft:locale=en-US) : * A system property enables or disables the export button globally. A second property accepts a comma-separated list of roles permitted to export when the first property is enabled. When the roles list is empty, export is available to all users. This applies to on-demand export at both the dashboard and data visualization level, including client-side export. * The export modal now includes a documentation link for supported and unsupported components. It also provides options to enable or disable sending exports via email and displays improved error messages after export failures. UI controls in export modals have been updated from toggles to check boxes. * PDF exports now correctly apply the selected orientation (landscape or portrait) for list-type visualizations. Previously the orientation setting was recognized in the UI but exports always rendered in portrait. * Users can select specific dashboard tabs to include when exporting to PDF, consistent with existing PPT export tab selection. Dashboards with applied filters respect the filter state in PDF exports. * Scheduled export now supports additional file types and page format options that were previously available in Core UI but missing from the scheduled export UI. Day-of-week scheduling options (Monday to Friday) are now available. Core UI reports are hidden from the scheduled export library page. [Dashboard PDF export improvements](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=export-pae-dashboard-ppt&family=brazil&ft:locale=en-US) : Platform Analytics dashboard PDF and PowerPoint export includes the following improvements: * You can now select which dashboard tabs to include when exporting to PDF, consistent with the existing tab selection available for PPT export. * When exporting a dashboard to PDF, you can choose whether to apply or exclude the active dashboard filters in the exported output. * Visualizations in exported PDF and PPT files now follow the layout order displayed on the dashboard, with the top layout rendered first and widgets ordered left to right. * Filters, images, and headings are now included in dashboard PDF exports. Previously these components were excluded because `par_metadata` records were not present for them. * When a dashboard contains only unsupported components, the export now returns a meaningful error message rather than an empty PDF. * Dashboards containing only list visualizations no longer trigger an unnecessary export server call. [Library page bookmark icon theme alignment](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=bookmark-dashboard-ac&family=brazil&ft:locale=en-US) : The bookmark icon in the Dashboard library page and the Data Visualization library page now renders in the applied theme color, consistent with the Indicators library page. Previously the bookmark icon displayed in blue regardless of the active theme. |
