# Copy a case in Agent Workspace for HR Case Management {#ariaid-title1}

Create a copy of a case to auto-populate the case values without having to fill in the fields manually.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_hr_core.case_writer

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllHR Case ManagementAgent Workspace for HR Case Management.
2. Select a case from which you want to create a copy.
3. Select the ![More Actions icon]() icon at the top right-hand corner of the Details tab.
4. Select Copy case.  
   * A copy of the case is created in Draft state.The activity stream displays information about the previous case from which this case is created.
   * By default, opened_for, subject_person, hr_service, skills, priority, assignment_group, assigned_to, and short_description, are copied to the new case. You can configure the fields that you want to copy to the new case in the Copy case attributes setting in [Page configurations](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/Ime~KBZ__8WprzleSv7WVw "Use Page configurations in Agent Workspace for HR Case Management to provide a customized experience for your users.").
