Use the Career Conversations app to simultaneously create and schedule a one-time or recurring conversation with your employee or manager. For each conversation you schedule, discuss the employee's growth and development as a
professional within your organization.

## Before you begin

You must install the Career Conversations application to access it from the Employee Center.

You must provide your employees with a license to enable access to the Career Conversations app. For more information about employee licensing, refer to [License Talent Development Core users](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/yWbhEd7P98u2qxp2jK77Ew "Talent Development Core uses the Employee Profile licensing feature to license user.").

You must configure integration between the Career Conversations application and Microsoft®
Outlook®. This integration enables you to view your employee or manager's calendar as it appears in Microsoft Outlook so you can schedule a meeting for your conversation during the conversation creation
process. For more information about the integration process with Microsoft Outlook, refer to [Integrating with Microsoft Outlook](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=integrating-with-microsoft-outlook&version=australia&pubname=australia-customer-service-management&ft:locale=en-US).

You must update system properties to enable integration between the Career Conversations application and Microsoft Outlook. For more information about updating the required system properties, refer to [Set system properties for Microsoft Outlook integration](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/H1eJqv0EdhIfqmMPK6_oOQ "Use system properties to enable integration between Career Conversations and Microsoft Outlook so you can simultaneously create and schedule conversations with the Career Conversations app.").
