Connect content to topic pages with the topic list selector

    Before you begin

    Role required: catalog_builder_editor, taxonomy_admin

    User criteria required: Taxonomy Manager, Taxonomy Contributor, Topic Manager, Topic Contributor.

    About this task

    You can associate any Service Catalog item to multiple topic pages using the topic selector component. The feature enables easy content-to-topic association for the Catalog Builder.

    Note:
    The topic list selector feature is available for customers starting with Zurich release.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Service Catalog > Catalog Builder and click Create a new catalog item.
    2. Click Continue on the getting started window.
    3. Choose a Service Catalog item template and click use this item template.
    4. Go to Location on the create record producer window.
    5. Click Edit selected topics on the Topics card to add or remove topic pages associated to the Service Catalog item.
      • Select the Taxonomy and Available topics from the list to associate with your selected Service Catalog item.
      • Drill down until eight levels of sub-tree topics to associate with your Service Catalog item.

    Result

    • Choose multiple topics altogether in any active taxonomy to associate with a Service Catalog item.
    • Add up to eight levels of sub-tree topics to the Service Catalog item.
