## User experience analytics

User Experience Analytics (UXA) automatically collects detailed behavioral data across entire user sessions, including page visits, widget interactions, and specific element selections. This data is visualized in the UXA Overview Dashboard, enabling administrators to understand employee navigation patterns, identify common exit points, and analyze engagement across the portal.

Key UXA features include tracking interactions from Employee Slate for Now Assist and Employee Slate for Moveworks products, with comprehensive usage insights available for both.

## UXA metrics

* **Total active users:** Distinct users who completed at least one session in a defined period.
* **New users:** Users accessing Employee Slate for the first time.
* **Total sessions:** Number of sessions across all users.
* **Average sessions per user:** Mean sessions per active user.
* **Average pages per session:** Mean page views within a single session.
* **Top pages:** Most visited pages such as Home, Tasks, Org Chart, and Profile pages.
* **Users, sessions, events, and pages:** Aggregate counts with trend data.
* **Retention:** User return rates compared to new users.
* **Cohort analysis:** Custom user groups for deeper retention insights.
* **Conversion funnels:** Tracking click-through rates in workflows.
* **Navigation paths:** Percentages of users following specific journey paths.
* **Session details:** Anonymized session data including duration, devices, and locations.

**Note:** Department and business unit filtering for UXA data is not currently available; check entitlements for future advanced filtering options.

Key metrics include:

Track user engagement, content performance, and AI assistant quality across the employee experience with built-in analytics tools.

## User experience analytics {#eslate-analytics-reporting__section-uxa}

Employee Slate includes User Experience Analytics (UXA) with no additional setup required. UXA captures behavioral data across every user session and surfaces it in a dedicated dashboard. Administrators and experience owners
use the dashboard to understand employee engagement patterns across the portal.

UXA automatically captures the following interactions:

* Every user session from start to end.
* Page visits, including the home page and Tasks and requests.
* Widget renders, for example, the Employee sidebar and org chart card.
* Selections on specific widgets and page elements, beyond standard page views.

The UXA Overview Dashboard visualizes how employees navigate Employee Slate. Administrators use the dashboard to identify common navigation paths and exit points in the experience.

Employee Slate for Now Assist and Employee Slate for Moveworks are separate products, each with its own option in Usage Insights.

Interactions in either product, including button clicks, redirects, and widget selections, are captured and surfaced within Usage Insights.

Employee Slate for Moveworks uses the same widget set available for any other application in Usage Insights.
