Access all the useful applications from a unified application from the Applications widget from your employee portal. You can see a list of related applications when you browse topics and launch the
application.

## Before you begin

Role required: sp_admin

## About this task

Using the app launcher in Employee Center Pro, You can provide one-click access to the applications and configure the instance options to control the appearance of the widget, such as the icon and description. For more information, see [App Launcher](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/xgwzrapBoAJWmyM8q4KEbQ "App Launcher enables you to provide employees one-click access to all of their web business applications from Employee Center.").

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllSelf-ServiceEmployee Center.  
   The Employee Center home page is displayed.
2. To configure the appearance, press and hold the control key, right-click the Applications widget, and select Instance Options.
3. On the form, select the options:

   | Field | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Title of widget | Title of the widget, for example My applications |
   | Application count | Number of the applications you want to display on the widget (Upto 6 apps). Note: Defer load shows up to six loaders. |
   | Card display view | Display view preference of the card. Either the app icon or the title is required with other options.Figure 1.    | Load configuration | Order in which the page and widgets data loads. Select one of the following options: * Asynchronous: First the page loads, then the widgets data loads. Users see content appear in the widgets as soon as each individual widget loads. * Synchronous: Page and widget data loads at the same time. The page remains blank until all the data loads. |
   | Show empty state | Option to show the widget with empty state message. |
   | Widget behavior during high load | Option to show the view from the available options: * None * Lite view: Select this option to display a message that the portal is experiencing heavy usage. * Regular view: Select this option for regular view. |

4. Click Save.
5. Click View all to see all the applications.
