Use the Health and Safety Environmental Management application to view the chemical library, raise chemical requests, and submit the requests for approvals.
* **[View the chemical library as an employee](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/w4JxSGGjYng5pmY81w0_FA)**
  The chemical library is a centralized repository that lists all chemicals used or managed by an organization. Employees can access the chemical library through the Employee Center.
* **[Create a chemical request from the Employee Center](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/IF968NhN0FXOfsxXw7j3nA)**
  Employees can request a chemical available in the chemical library or initiate a request for a new chemical from the Employee Center.
* **[Submit a chemical request for approval](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/BUBoImaxdpDqbHqW~GbO9Q)**
  A chemical manager reviews a chemical request received from the employee and submits it for approval by the approver.
* **[Approve or reject a chemical request](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/usrm_T44bsjRvgx9x49TKg)**
  The approver or the chemical manager can approve or reject the chemical request in the Employee Center.
* **[Create a chemical record for a chemical](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/C6uDYiblS5YlrLy~sXc~qw)**
  The chemical manager can create a chemical record for the new chemical request that has been approved.
* **[Complete a chemical record manually](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/muB8~HNikBx6beVXqnyYdA)**
  Chemical manager can complete the chemical record for an approved chemical manually if an integration with the 3E service provider is not available.
* **[Delete a chemical record](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/tzYEdudL5Eluk2yRonkBYw)**
  When a chemical is no longer needed or was created in error, deleting it permanently removes the record from the system.
* **[Request a safety data sheet (SDS)](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/C1qqMB9zaaF7N~CPCaEEDg)**
  You can request a safety data sheet (SDS) from the chemical record to view the safety data for that chemical. The SDS can be downloaded in different languages.
* **[Monitor and manage the Regulatory list for a chemical substance](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/VlOENbJSmjYqR3PcfkNPlQ)**
  Use the Regulatory tab on a chemical substance record to quickly assess regulatory conformance status, review regulations, and track upcoming and overdue regulatory obligations.
