Indoor maps objects and data can be synchronized with Workplace Service Delivery and can be used for reservation management, case management, move management, and within the location directory for wayfinding.

Map creation and content management

Create, manage, and edit your maps from a single place with Indoor Mapping Map Studio. End users can visualize the building interiors, other indoor and outdoor details for a selected campus, building, or floor.

Indoor Mapping provides capabilities within the Map Studio to digitalize workplace floor plans. Using the Map Studio interface, map admins and map editors can create and update maps that can be used across the Workplace Service Delivery suite:

1. Get real-time insights on space utilization within a building for meeting rooms, venue, and workspaces using Reservation Management.
2. Fulfill service requests quickly with Workplace Service Delivery case management. View space details and use indoor maps to locate a campus, building, or floor interiors.
3. Use Workplace Service Delivery move management to request and move a desk from one location to another. Ensure that the workspace is mapped to Indoor Mapping map data.
4. Provide interactive locations and wayfinding solutions by providing the start and destination points on indoor maps. For more information, see Work with Location Directory for Now Mobile app and Work with the Map view on the Location Directory.

Indoor maps can be created by importing and converting existing architectural or engineering floor plan to create indoor maps. Indoor Mapping supports AutoCAD files (DWG and DXF) and raster sources (PNG) files. For more information, see Import CAD files to Map Studio and Import Raster files.
