## Summary of Components installed with Lifecycle Events

The Human Resources Scoped App: Lifecycle Events \[com.snhrlifecycleevents\] plugin activates multiple components essential for managing HR lifecycle events in ServiceNow.
These components include various tables and user roles that enable customers to create, manage, and track HR activities, cases, and related configurations.
Demo data is available to assist with example tasks.
Show full answer Show less
Additionally, the plugin activates a system property **snhrle.minadmincount** to enforce a minimum number of active Enterprise Onboarding and Transition admin users, enhancing administrative security.

## Key Features

* **Roles Installed:**
  * **Lifecycle Events administrator \[snhrle.admin\]:** Grants comprehensive access to setup, manage roles, groups, dashboards, and configurations related to Lifecycle Events.
  * **Activity reader, writer, and set manager:** Provide granular permissions to read, create, and activate HR activity sets and activities.
  * **Case reader and writer:** Enable reading and creation of Lifecycle Events cases.
  * **HR Performance Analytics administrator \[snhrlepa.admin\]:** Manages Performance Analytics content packs and properties specific to Lifecycle Events.
* **Role Management Guidance:**
  * The **snhrle.admin** role is automatically assigned to the IT system administrator role upon plugin installation.
  * It is recommended to assign this admin role to at least two users to maintain administrative continuity.
  * After assignment, remove the admin role from the IT system administrator to restrict access to sensitive HR data.
  * The administrator role combined with the Delegated Developer role can configure and create Centers of Excellence (COEs).
  * Roles can be assigned to users, groups, or other roles as needed to align with organizational requirements.
* **Tables Installed:**
  * **Activity \[snhrleactivity\]:** Stores details of individual HR activities within activity sets.
  * **Activity Set \[snhrleactivityset\]:** Contains collections of activities that form lifecycle events.
  * **Activity Set Context and Activity Status:** Track the progress and state of activity sets and activities, supporting lifecycle event tracking and filtering.
  * **Fulfiller Activity Configuration and Mapping:** Facilitate passing data from Lifecycle Events cases to HR cases.
  * **HR Lifecycle Events Case \[snhrlecase\]:** Maintains records of submitted lifecycle event cases, extending HR case functionality.
  * **Lifecycle Events Type \[snhrletype\]:** Organizes activity sets and activities and associates them with HR services.
  * **LE UI Configuration \[snhrlebuilderuiconfiguration\]:** Stores user interface configuration details for Lifecycle Events.
  * **Employee Request and Future To-dos:** Track employee requests and pending activities to be triggered.

## Practical Application for ServiceNow Customers

By enabling the Lifecycle Events plugin, ServiceNow customers can effectively manage HR lifecycle activities with structured roles and tables that support case management, activity tracking, and analytics.

Proper role assignment and administration are critical to maintaining secure access to sensitive HR data while ensuring operational continuity through delegated administration.

The installed tables provide a robust data model to organize, track, and report on HR lifecycle events, enabling customers to automate onboarding, transitions, and other HR processes with visibility and control.
Several types of components install with the activation of the Human Resources Scoped App: Lifecycle Events \[com.sn_hr_lifecycle_events\] plugin, including tables and user roles.
Note:
The Application Files table lists the components that are installed with this application. For instructions on how to access this table, see [Find components installed with an
application](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=find-components&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US).
Demo data is available for this feature, and it's used in some related example tasks.
Note:
The Human Resources Scoped App: Lifecycle Events \[com.sn_hr_lifecycle_events\] plugin activates the sn_hr_le.min_admin_count system property \[sys_properties.list\]. This property helps to prevent you from deleting your only Enterprise Onboarding and Transition admin user by requiring a minimum number (the default is two) of active users with this role.

[Table 1. Roles in Lifecycle Events]

Important:
After the Lifecycle Events plugin is installed, the Lifecycle Events administrator (sn_hr_le.admin) role is automatically assigned to the IT system administrator (admin) role. Use the admin role to assign the sn_hr_le.admin role to at least two users in your organization. If one of the two users is deactivated in the future, the user that remains active can reassign the sn_hr_le.admin role to other people in your organization.

After the sn_hr_le.admin role has been assigned,
remove the role from the admin role to suppress the IT system administrator from viewing sensitive HR information. The removal of the sn_hr_le.admin role from admin role ensures that only the Lifecycle Events administrator has access to the sensitive information.

For more information about the process to remove an HR administrator role from the admin role, see [Remove HR Administrator role from IT System Administrators](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/hdw72iopvlGpRJHXdI1VJQ "After system configuration, remove the HR Administrator role (sn_hr_core.admin) from IT System Administrator role (admin) to help prevent IT System Administrators from viewing sensitive HR information via forms, lists and UI.").

The Lifecycle Events administrator (sn_hr_le.admin) role with the Delegated Developer (delegated_developer) role can also configure and create COEs. For more information, see [HR Centers of Excellence data model](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/y8dyUbYRMSF3DvaOcgHRKQ "Organize HR data, services, and processes by functional discipline with the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) data model.").

You can assign these roles to the appropriate roles, groups, or users in your application.

* To assign a role to another role, see [Add a role to an existing role](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=t_AddARoleToAnExistingRole&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US).
* To assign a role to a group, see [Assign a role to a group](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=t_AssignRoleToGroup&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US).
* To assign a role to a user, see [Assign a role to a user](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=t_AssignARoleToAUser&version=australia&pubname=australia-platform-administration&ft:locale=en-US).
