Raise a move request for a space change

  • Create a move request to relocate to another space. Specify why you want to move and when you want to move. You can select a space that is located in your current building or at a different building. You can also select a desk directly on the floor map.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_wsd_core.workplace_user

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Workplace Core > Workplace service portal.
      The Workplace Service Portal opens.
    2. Open the General category where the workplace service is located, do the following:
      1. Click Catalog.
      2. Click Browse by Categories.
      3. In the Workplace Services Catalog, select General.
        Note:
        If there are multiple catalogs configured on the portal, go to the Catalogs list and select Workplace Services Catalog > General.
    3. Select Request a desk change.
    4. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Employee name Name of the employee for whom you are raising the move request. If you are raising the request for yourself, select your name.
      When is the requested move date?
      Date Date on which the movement must be completed. Select a date from the calendar.
      Select a move reason Reason for moving from the current location. Select from the list of available reasons.
      From:
      Find a space on a floor Option to directly select the current space on the floor map.
      Building Building in which the current desk is located.
      Floor Floor on which the current desk is located.
      Space Space in which the current desk is located.
      To:
      Find a space on a floor Option to directly select the new target desk on the floor map.

      If employees have a permanent assignment in their workplace profile, the employee names are displayed on the map for a selected space. For more information, see Display permanent seat assignments on floor maps.

      Building Building in which the target desk is located.
      Floor Floor on which the target desk is located.
      Space Space in which the target desk is located.
      What should be moved? Items to be moved from the current desk to the new target desk.
      Anything else we should note? Extra information regarding the move request.
      Add attachment Attached files that support the move request if required.
    5. Click Submit.

    Result

    The move request is submitted.

    If the state of the move request is Closed complete, it means that the move request has been completed successfully. If the state is set to Closed incomplete, it means that the move request could not be completed due to various reasons. You can raise another request if required.

    Depending on your platform, do one of the following to view your requests:
    • On the Workplace Service Portal, go to the Requests tab to view your requests and reservations.
    • On the Now Mobile app's navigation bar, tap For Me and scroll down to the My Request section to view your requests.
    • In the virtual agent chat, type your question or select Show Me Everything to select from a list of available options.

    If you want to cancel a request, Click Cancel Request. When the request is resolved, select Accept or Reject.
