## Summary of Manage workplace cases in List view in Workplace Central

The List view tab in Workplace Central provides a traditional, structured list format for managing workplace cases, complementing the Calendar view by offering row-based navigation.
This view is ideal for users who prefer list-based case management or need to perform bulk operations efficiently.

## Access and Filter Synchronization

Users can access the List view by navigating to **All \> Workplace Central** and selecting **Case Management \> List view tab**. Importantly, all active filters applied in the Calendar view---such as case type (Workplace, Maintenance, Move) and campus---are preserved and automatically applied in the List view. This ensures consistency and continuity when switching between views.

## Condition Builder and Fixed Filters

The List view includes an integrated condition builder that allows users to add additional filter conditions to refine case lists further. Filters inherited from the Calendar view, known as fixed filters (including those set by the predicate builder, case type, and campus), are locked and cannot be removed or modified. Additional filter conditions entered in the condition builder are combined with fixed filters using an AND operator, enabling precise filtering without losing the base criteria.

## Bulk Assignment Action

A key feature in the List view is the declarative **Assign** action, which enables case managers to assign multiple selected cases to a specific user simultaneously. The user picker dynamically filters users based on the assignment groups tagged to the selected cases---showing only users common to all groups---or shows all users if no assignment group is tagged. Assigning a user updates all selected cases immediately, and the assignment changes are reflected instantly in the list.

## Export and Standard List Actions

The List view supports standard list component actions, including exporting the current filtered list for offline use or reporting. This functionality helps users analyze or share case data outside of Workplace Central.

## Practical Benefits for ServiceNow Customers

* Seamless transition between Calendar and List views with synchronized filters improves user experience.
* Advanced filtering with the condition builder allows for granular case management.
* Bulk assignment streamlines case handling by reducing repetitive tasks.
* Export capabilities facilitate external reporting and data analysis.
The List view tab provides a traditional list view of cases in Workplace Central.

The List view tab complements the Calendar view by offering a structured, row-based representation of the same case data, making it suitable for users who prefer list-based navigation or to perform bulk operations.
To access List view:

* Navigate to AllWorkplace Central.
* Select Case ManagementList view tab at the top of the workspace.

## Shared filter state {#manage-cases-in-list-view-in-workplace-central__section_rfg_1k2_3jc}

When a user navigates from the Calendar view to the List view tab, all active filters including case type (Workplace, Maintenance, Move) and campus are preserved.

For example, if a user filters by Maintenance Cases in the Calendar view, the List view tab also displays only Maintenance Cases.

## Condition builder {#manage-cases-in-list-view-in-workplace-central__section_svy_sp2_3jc}

In addition to the filters inherited from the Calendar view, the List view tab includes an integrated condition builder. You can define additional filter conditions using the condition builder to further refine the list of cases
displayed.

## Fixed condition filter {#manage-cases-in-list-view-in-workplace-central__section_uzs_2gj_mjc}

When a case manager or case agent navigates to the List Tab in Workplace Central, the condition builder displays a set of populated filters that are automatically carried over from the Calendar View. These are referred to as fixed
filters.

The filters applied using the predicate builder, the case type filter, and the Campus filter are automatically passed as fixed filters into the condition builder.

These fixed filters are locked in the condition builder and cannot be removed or replaced. To refine the list further, you can add conditions directly in the condition builder. Any additional conditions are appended to the fixed
filters using an AND operator.

## Assign declarative action {#manage-cases-in-list-view-in-workplace-central__section_btc_5q2_3jc}

The List view tab includes a declarative Assign action that allows enables case managers to assign multiple cases to a specific user.

* Select one or more cases from the list.
* Select Assign.
* If the selected cases share an assignment group, the user select shows only the users who are members of all applicable assignment groups (intersection).
* If no assignment group is tagged to the selected cases, the user picker shows all users from the sys_user table.
* Selecting a user and confirming the assignment updates all selected cases immediately. The updated assignees are reflected in the list.
