# Assign visitor policy to a workplace location

# Assign visitor policy to a workplace location {#ariaid-title1}

Add one or more workplace location to a visitor policy. Visitors who are registered
to arrive at that locations will receive an email notification in prior to accept the
policy.

## About this task

Warning:  
This topic is only applicable for Workplace Visitor Management version 1.19 or earlier.

In Workplace Visitor Management version 2.0.0 or later, you must
create a visit requirement and attach the policy in the Acknowledgment tab. For more
information, see [Configure visit requirements](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/I75pEG_X7FJjh5Gram0AkQ "Configure requirements that visitors must fulfill for their visit to your organization.").

Role required: sn_wsd_visitor.admin

## About this task

Assign visitor policy to a workplace location.

You can
also assign visitor policy by selecting the workplace location in
Building. Select the building and ensure that the
Visitor policy view option is enabled. Click
Edit and assign the policy.

* Go to Building
* Select the building
* Ensure we have the view "Visitor policy view" selected
* Click on Edit to assign the available policies to the location

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllWorkplace Visitor ManagementAdministrationVisitor Policies.
2. Select the visitor policy to which you want add the workplace location.
3. In the Locations related list, select Edit.
4. On the Edit Members form, select the workplace location from the Collection column, then move it to the Locations List column by using the add-remove icon (![]()).
5. Select Save.
6. **Optional:** In the Locations related list, apply the policy to internal or external visitors and configure whether the policies require signatures.
   1. Select the preview icon () for the record that you want to edit.
   2. On the preview window for the location policy, select Open Record.
   3. On the Location Policy form, fill in the fields.

## Result
