Enabling critical alerts
Receive critical alerts, even if you have configured your mobile device to a Do Not Disturb or Silent mode setting. Critical alerts are a more acute form of push notifications, where your mobile device is set up to receive visual and audio alerts usually when an issue needs immediate attention.
To receive critical alerts, the feature must be enabled by your administrator. Once your administrator performs this configuration, you're able to set up your mobile device to receive critical alerts.
Remarque :
If you don’t enable the option to receive critical alerts, you still receive these alerts as notifications, however they behave as regular notifications. In the notification tab within your mobile app, these notifications are
still listed as critical alerts.
Enable critical alerts on your mobile device
When logging in for both iOS and the Android operating system, a pop-up displays asking if you want to enable critical alerts on your mobile device.
Remarque :
For Android operating system users to receive critical alerts, you must make sure that your mobile device can receive regular notifications. This is achieved by accepting an initial pop-up, which displays before the
critical alert notification.
The next stage varies between operating systems.
- To enable critical alerts for iOS – Tap Allow on the pop-up to enable critical alerts.
- To enable critical alerts for the Android operating system – Tap on the Open Settings button to open the Do not disturb permission page. Select the ServiceNow mobile apps that are to receive critical alerts.
