  • Vulnerability Assignment Recommendations uses ServiceNow® Predictive Intelligence and machine learning to recommend assignment groups for vulnerable items (VIs) and remediation tasks (VULs, or RTs). You can reduce the time that you spend on identifying the owners for unassigned or incorrectly assigned vulnerability findings. Also, you can see a system-generated confidence score that evaluates if the recommended assignment group is suited to resolve the vulnerability.

The Predictive Intelligence capabilities are used in Vulnerability Response to provide better work experiences by creating and training a solution definition model that can predict the assignment group based on existing data.

For more information, see Predictive Intelligence.

    Vulnerability Assignment Recommendations

With the Vulnerability Assignment Recommendations application (com.snc.vulnerability.recom), the system can assign recommendations in Vulnerability Response using ServiceNow Predictive Intelligence. This plugin requires:
    • Vulnerability Response (com.snc.vulnerability)
    • Predictive Intelligence (com.glide.platform_ml)

For more information, see Predictive Intelligence.

    Confidence scores

Use the Vulnerability Assignment Recommendations application to generate the confidence score that reports the confidence level of the recommended assignment groups for the selected RTs or VIs. The confidence score evaluates whether the system is confident that the recommended assignment group is suited to resolve the vulnerability. Up to 10 recommendations appear. These recommendations are based on the highest probability for successful assignments. The first recommendation in the list means that the system has the highest confidence that it is the correct assignment group.

For example, on a scale of 0-100, for each assignment group, the confidence score suggests the probability of a VI or RT belonging to that particular group.
