  • A successful integration requires planning and careful execution of pre-integration tasks. Prepare for the integration by performing these tasks. The Rapid7 Vulnerability Integration assumes that you are familiar with and run Rapid7 data warehouse or Rapid7 InsightVM product scans in your environment.

    Avant de commencer

    Role required: admin

Pourquoi et quand exécuter cette tâche

The Rapid7 scanners are deactivated by default in the Vulnerability Response application. If you try to perform a rescan from the vulnerable items or remediation tasks that have these applications as a source, the Rescan button is not available.

Before you download the Rapid7 Vulnerability Integration application from the ServiceNow® Store and install it on your instance, review the following information about the integration types and set up information:

There are two types of integrations included with the Rapid7 Vulnerability Integration that is available in the ServiceNow® Store:
    • Rapid7 InsightVM
    • Rapid7 data warehouse

    The Rapid7 data warehouse type:

    • Requires your Rapid7 data warehouse server URL and authentication credentials
    • Requires a MID Server
    • Uses a PostgresSQL driver to run queries on the data warehouse
    • Does not support multiple instances
    The Rapid7 InsightVM integration type:
    • Is cloud-based and uses a REST API. This integration requires an API key from within your Rapid7 Insight account.
    • Supports multiple instances.

See Set up for the Rapid7 data warehouse Integration (data warehouse) and Set up for the Rapid7 InsightVM Integration for more information about setup requirements for these integration types.
