  • Privacy assessments are used to collect information from business owners. This information helps the privacy teams to understand how personal information (PI) is being used or stored in a processing activity.

Using the privacy assessment capability, you can configure various types of assessments and send those assessments to the business process or business application owners to collect their responses. Some examples of the assessments that you can configure are as follows:
    • Privacy screening initial assessments
    • Privacy impact assessments (PIA)
    • Privacy readiness assessments
When a privacy assessment is initiated, the business owners respond to the questions in the assessments. Their responses automatically create processing activities in the system. The necessary controls and information objects are then automatically mapped to the processing activities.
The privacy assessment capability provides multiple configurations options such as:
    • Configuring various types of questions using a simple user interface.
    • Configuring the creation of processing activities using the responses of the assessments.
    • Mapping controls to question responses to determine the responses that will automatically map controls to the processing activities.
    • Configuring [PI] Information objects for responses to automatically map the information objects to a processing activity. For more information, refer to Information objects in Privacy Management.
    • Mapping question responses to processing activity fields to automatically fill the required data in the processing activity.
