Create connection and authenticate credential with Everbridge

  • As a first step, establish a connection and authenticate your login credentials with an Everbridge instance to send out a notification using a delivery channel. This connection not only helps you to send but also receive communications.

    Before you begin

    Role required: BCM admin (sn_bcm.admin)

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Business Continuity > Everbridge Notification Configuration > Connection & Credential Alias.
    2. Click the Create New Connection & Credential related link.
    3. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Field Description
      Connection Name Name of the connection. Enter Everbridge Connection.
      Connection URL Everbridge API base address.
      Organization ID Organization ID of Everbridge.
      Note:
      You can get the organization ID from the Everbridge instance.
      Incident Template ID Unique ID of Everbridge incident template.
      Note:
      You can get the ID from the Everbridge instance.
      Credential Name Name of Everbridge credential.
      Username User name of API user in Everbridge.
      Password Password to validate and establish connection.
    4. Click Create.
