Define the scope and begin the assessment

  • Define the scope by adding a business service to the Importance and impact tolerance assessment. With this assessment, you can estimate the impact and possible disruptions that can affect your business services.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_oper_res.manager

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Operational Resilience Workspace > List > Importance and impact tolerance assessment > All assessments and select the assessment that you’re working on.
      The Details tab displays the assessment details.
      The Scope tab is displayed for the assessment where you can add the services to be assessed.
    2. In the Scope tab, select Add, choose the services for the assessment, and select Add again.
      A message is displayed that the services are successfully added to the list. The services are listed in the Scope tab.
    3. To send the assessment and request a response from the assessor, select Assess.

      The state of the assessment is updated to Pending response.

    Result

    The state of the assessment is updated to Pending response. The assessor of the assessment receives an email notification with a link to the assessment.
    Note:
    If there are no approvers, the state of the assessment automatically changes to the Approved state.

    What to do next

    The assessor logs into the instance or selects the assessment link received in the notification, responds to the assessment, and submits the results. For more information, see Submit the assessment.
