Key Features
- Session Preparation: Setup of a temporary ServiceNow instance with activated CSDM plugins for hands-on learning and data assessment.
- Customer Coaching Sessions:
- Session #1 (up to 90 minutes): Covers introduction to Business Applications and Application Services, their relationships, and a brief assessment of existing Crawl data using the CSDM Data Foundations Dashboard.
- Session #2 (optional, up to 60 minutes): Provides an opportunity for Q&A related to the Crawl phase.
- Resources and Guides: Includes key resources and leading practice guides to support customers in successfully completing the Crawl phase.
Customer Roles and Responsibilities
- Platform Owner: Provides leadership and governance over the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
- CMDB / CSDM Administrator: Maintains CMDB and CSDM data quality through ongoing maintenance and remediation.
- System Administrator(s): Handles application maintenance, support cases, and configuration tasks.
- Enterprise Architect: Aligns technology capabilities with business objectives, managing application portfolios.
- Business Application Owner: Owns specific deployed programs or modules providing business functionality.
- Trusted Service Partners: Participate in coaching sessions to understand best practices and potentially support ongoing efforts.

Jumpstart Your CSDM: Crawl provides impact customers with an overview and applied demonstration of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) Crawl phase. This Accelerator supports the customer’s CSDM maturity journey by breaking down specific action items to enhance the understanding of the Crawl phase. As a result, customers can populate and rationalize their Business applications and Application services. This enables a more service-aware CMDB for use throughout additional workflows of ServiceNow.The offering also includes key resources and leading practice guides to help customers get started with the Crawl phase of the CSDM Maturity journey.
Customers must first complete the Jumpstart Your CSDM: Foundation accelerator before taking this one, as this offering builds on the Foundation phase of the CSDM maturity journey.
