Release version: Brazil
Updated October 5, 2026
![](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/portal-asset/ico-clock) 3 minutes to read
Activate AI skills by configuring settings such as display locations. After the skills have been activated, they can be used across the ServiceNow AI Platform based on the availability and display settings you choose.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_generative_ai.nsa_admin. For information about roles, see [AI Admin Hub roles](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/VLVnZnSHWTIkwZUNQB01bg#roles-installed-with-now-assist-admin "Certain roles are required to use AI Admin Hub functionality. The base admin (sys_admin) role does not automatically grant or include the following roles, so assign these directly to users who require them.") and [Roles and responsibilities for AI administration](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/Cl_BeYgvf~IqXQMXeeKjRw "AI capabilities on the ServiceNow AI Platform require specific administrative roles. Identify these roles before implementation to plan access and assign accountability.").

## About this task

Activate the skills that are most relevant to your use cases and business needs. For a full list of available skills, see [Generative AI skills](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/LBZoqSt5XFKJNXfffC6J1Q "ServiceNow AI Platform products contain generative AI skills that are tailored to meet the needs of users in different workflows.").

From the Brazil Patch 1 release, one-step activation is available for default skills using default settings. With this streamlined activation method, the only decision you must make is where to display your skill.
If you need granular or custom configuration, the multi-step guided setup wizard is available from Advanced setup. One-step activation isn't available with Next Experience in this release, or with copied or custom skills.

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllAI Admin HubSkills.
If you're already in AI Admin Hub, select the AI Skills tab.
