Configure Generative AI Controller providers and capabilities.

## Configuration overview {#configure-generative-ai-controller__section_rk1_bpk_wwb}

Generative AI Controller enables you to choose between several AI providers or a generic connector.

* Microsoft Azure OpenAI
* OpenAI
* Google AI Studio
* Google Vertex AI
* IBM watsonx
* Amazon Bedrock

After you configure Generative AI Controller, activate and manage generative AI skills through the AI Admin Hub console to deliver generative AI capabilities to your users. For more information, see .

[Configure API credentials](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/l8~Wgdq6yBQTZ_8MH1pgoA "Configure the credentials and connections for your preferred generative AI service provider to integrate third-party generative AI on the ServiceNow AI Platform.")
: Configure your large language model (LLM) credentials to use third-party integrations with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Cloud, IBM watsonx, Amazon Bedrock, and generic models to control the third-party integration.

[Configure a generic LLM connector](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bXEv~zQQXi1UzAOMLl4Erg "Connect an external LLM to the ServiceNow AI Platform by using a generic LLM connector. With a connector, you can write your own prompts to send to the LLM and create your own generative AI capabilities.")
: Set up an external LLM to use generative AI capabilities to add finer control over prompts and transformer scripts.

[Configure an AI service provider for a capability](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/JSzpiVH7vjH5X0A8KPStiw "Configure LLM providers for Generative AI Controller at the backend level. For most use cases, configure capabilities using AI Admin Hub.")
: Set your preferred AI service provider for each capability and tailor generative AI content to suit your business needs.

[Enable recursive summarization for large inputs](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/lmRZ1RBXNSldSPu3EqbT3w "Use recursive summarization to break down the requests to the large language models (LLMs) into smaller pieces so that you can maintain the context for generative AI capabilities.")
: Enable recursive summarization to retain context for large inputs in LLM calls.

[Enable Dynamic Translation for generative AI capabilities](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/IujUmkowTtk74ISGVtlYAQ "Use Dynamic Translation to add multiple language support for generative AI capabilities to support users who speak languages other than English.")
: Use Dynamic Translation for in-product generative AI capabilities to support users who speak different languages.
