# Working with MCP server records

# Working with MCP server records {#ariaid-title1}

Release version: Australia
Updated June 4, 2026

The MCP servers tab on the AI Control Tower Inventory page provides a centralized view of MCP servers registered in your ServiceNow instance.

MCP servers are AI assets that expose tools, resources, and capabilities to AI agents through a standardized protocol. Registering MCP servers in the inventory enables AI Control Tower to govern, classify, and monitor their usage
alongside other AI assets. The **MCP servers** tab displays only assets of type MCP server.

## MCP servers inventory list

The MCP servers inventory list displays the following columns for each registered server:
{#working-with-mcp-server-records__entry__2}
