The platform offers three AI licensing tiers tailored to different customer needs:
- Foundation: Basic AI capabilities to deliver insights.
- Advanced: AI functionalities designed to boost productivity across relevant use cases.
- Prime: Enables autonomous AI operation with full AI asset access and customization options.
Key Features
- Integration with Now Assist skills and agentic workflows to enhance AI-powered automation and assistance.
- Centralized data processing that transfers necessary information from customer instances to ServiceNow’s environment, potentially involving third-party cloud providers like Microsoft Azure, managed under strict internal compliance policies.
- Data collection of inputs, outputs, and edits to improve AI technologies, with customers having the option to opt out of future data collection.
Important Considerations
- Availability of AI models and features may vary by region, licensing tier, and regulatory environment. Certain AI capabilities are restricted or unavailable in specific data centers (e.g., FedRAMP, NSC DOD IL5, Australia IRAP-Protected) and regulated markets.
- AI-generated outputs may not always be fully accurate, complete, or suitable for all use cases. Customers must apply human oversight, thoroughly test AI outputs, and avoid sole reliance on AI for critical decisions, especially in sensitive domains like healthcare, finance, legal, or security.
- Compliance with ServiceNow’s AI Acceptable Use Policy is mandatory and subject to updates by ServiceNow.
Practical Implications for ServiceNow Customers
Customers leveraging AI in Asset Audit Response can expect streamlined evidence fulfillment and enhanced productivity through AI assistance. Understanding licensing options helps tailor AI capabilities to organizational needs. Awareness of regional availability and AI limitations ensures responsible and compliant use. Managing data processing and opting out options empowers customers to maintain control over their data privacy and compliance requirements.

AI limitations
This application uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, which are rapidly evolving fields of study that generate predictions based on patterns in data. As a result, this application may not always produce accurate, complete, or appropriate information. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that this application has been fully trained or tested for your use case. To mitigate these issues, it is your responsibility to test and evaluate your use of this application for accuracy, harm, and appropriateness for your use case, employ human oversight of output, and refrain from relying solely on AI-generated outputs for decision-making purposes. This is especially important if you choose to deploy this application in areas with consequential impacts such as healthcare, finance, legal, employment, security, or infrastructure. You agree to abide by ServiceNow’s AI Acceptable Use Policy, which may be updated by ServiceNow.
Data processing
This application requires data to be transferred from ServiceNow customers' individual instances to a centralized ServiceNow environment, which may be located in a different data center region from the one where your instance is, and potentially to a third-party cloud provider, such as Microsoft Azure. This data is handled per ServiceNow's internal policies and procedures, including our policies available through our CORE Compliance Portal.
