Defer demands

    • Defer demands in Next Experience for Demand Management to move them to the backlog when they aren't feasible to act on currently, such as when resources aren't available. After deferral, demands can be reviewed and moved to any other demand state.

    Before you begin

    Only demands in the Draft or Completed state can be deferred.

    Role required: it_demand_manager

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Portfolio Planning Workspace.
    2. Select the Demands icon .
    3. Open a demand from the List page.
    4. Select Details from the navigation menu.
    5. Select Defer.

    Result

    The deferred demand is moved to the Deferred state and can be revisited and reviewed in the future.
