# Create operational resource assignments

# Create operational resource assignments {#ariaid-title1}

Create operational resource assignments to allocate a portion of team or resource capacity for operational work such as administration work, meetings, trainings, and so on.

## Before you begin

Role required: resource_user, resource_manager, it_project_manager, demand_manager, admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllResource AssignmentCreate Operational Resource Assignments.
2. On the Resource Assignment form, fill in the fields.  
   For a description of the field names, see [Resource assignment form](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/01KMIRg_HB~hyuWXm8gwlg "Description for the resource assignment form fields.").
3. Select Submit.

## Result

Operational resource assignment is created. You can navigate to AllResource AssignmentOperational Resource Assignments view the list of operational resource assignments.
