    • The Financials tab of the demand dashboard summarizes planned cost, financial benefit, and return on investment (ROI) across demands.

    Financials tab in the demand dashboard

    The widgets in the Financials tab consider demands in the Submitted, Screening, Qualified, or Approved states to display the data. You can further drill down on each widget to see the list of records associated with them.

    The Date range widget scopes the data shown across all widgets on the Financials tab. The default range is the current year.

    Widget Description
    Cost Breakdown Displays the planned costs grouped by dimension, with the cumulative percentage of total cost. By default, the costs are grouped by Investment Type.

    To regroup the data, select one of the following fields:

    • Investment Type (default)
    • Business Unit
    • Category
    • Department
    • Investment Class
    • Priority
    • Primary goal
    • Product
    • Portfolio
    • Strategic program
    • T-Shirt size
    Benefit Breakdown Displays the benefits grouped by dimension, with the cumulative percentage of total benefit. By default, the costs are grouped by Investment Type.

    To regroup the data, select one of the following fields:

    Cost vs. Benefit by Investment Type Displays the financial benefit against total planned cost, grouped by investment type. Selecting a bubble displays the financial benefit, total planned cost, and investment type for that group, with a link to go to the underlying record list.
    Cost and Benefit Over the Year Displays the sum of cost and benefit plotted against each other across the calendar year.

    The values are derived from the cost plan breakdown and benefit plan breakdown tables. This widget is available only to users with the it_demand_manager role.
    Demands by Investment Class and Investment Type Displays the count, total cost, total benefit, and total ROI, organized by investment class (columns: Change, Run, and others) and investment type (rows), with a grand total row and column.
