Create an improvement initiative from Digital Portfolio Management

  • Create an improvement initiative using the Digital Portfolio Management (DPM) application. DPM enables you to create an improvement initiative for any business or technology management services that you own.

    Before you begin

    For the required plugins to create improvement initiatives in Digital Portfolio Management, see the Continual Improvement Management area of Digital Portfolio Management related applications and data sources.

    Role required: sn_dpm.dpm_manager

    About this task

    You can manage and create improvement initiatives for services or service offerings that you own, right in the workspace without having to go to the service or offering's native application.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to All > Digital Portfolio Management > Digital Portfolio Management Workspace > Personal Portfolios.
    2. To create an improvement initiative, select a business or technical service.
    3. From the list, select the Create option and then select Improvement initiative.
    4. On the form, fill in the fields.

      Service offering where you created the improvement initiative from in DPM.

      The Continual Improvement Management coordinator.

      Approver Group

      Continual Improvement Management approvers for the improvement initiative.

      Strategies

      Continual Improvement Management assigned automation and effort reduction for the improvement initiative.

      State
