  • Personalize your Digital Portfolio Management (DPM) Workspace home page to meet your needs. You can edit the status conditions of each solution, add solutions, search for solutions, and filter solutions by status and by type.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_dpm.dpm_manager

    About this task

You can personalize your home page (Home icon.) to set the attributes and thresholds that you want to track on your solutions. After you personalize your status conditions, the system will no longer use the default attributes and thresholds that come with the base DPM system. Instead, your personalizations are saved in your user preference record (dpm_home_page_item_list) to provide you with the home page view that you want to see.

You can also customize your personal view by using the search and filter options on the home page.

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to the Digital Portfolio Management Workspace.
    2. Personalize the home page.
      • Select Personalize.
      • Select the option to personalize your solution cards. The system filters out retired items so they're not an option for you to select.
        • Select Edit status conditions to set your own thresholds for Needs attention attributes on business applications, services/offerings, and service instances on your home page. For default values, see Digital Portfolio Management Workspace homepage.
        • Select Add items to add business applications, services/offerings, and service instances to your home page.
        • Select Remove items to remove business applications, services/offerings, and service instances from your home page.
          Tip:
If there aren't any items in your home page when you log in, then select Add items to add solutions to your home page. For the limit on the number of solution cards you can have on your home page, see Digital Portfolio Management homepage default solution cards.
    3. Search for a solution on the home page.
In the Search field, enter any part of the solution name that you want to find. For example, to find all solutions pertaining to knowledge bases, enter knowledge in the Search field. Your search term must contain part of a solution name. You can't search for a solution owner's name.
    4. Filter the solution list on the home page.

Select Filter to filter all the solutions by status or by type. The status options are severe, moderate, and good. For information on the status meanings, see Digital Portfolio Management Workspace homepage (Needs attention default thresholds section).

The type options to filter are:
      • Services
      • Technology management services
      • Technology management service offerings
      • Business services
      • Business service offerings
      • Business applications
      • Service instances
