Create an appointment through incident
Schedule an appointment on behalf of a requester through an incident record.
Before you begin
Role required: itil or admin
Procedure
- From the navigation list, select List.
- Under Incidents, select Open or Assigned to me.
- Select the incident for which you want to schedule an appointment.
- Select the More actions icon.
- From the drop-down list, select the option Book Walk-up Appointment.
- In the Walk-up Appointment Booking window, enter the required details to book an appointment on behalf of the requester.
- Select Submit.
Result
- A walk-up appointment record is created.
- The Walk-up Appointment option appears under the Related records tab for that incident. You can see all the Walk-up appointments related to the incident.
- The requester is notified of the appointment. The requester can also see the appointment created on the home page under the My active items widget.
